Tp link extender,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WA850RE 300Mbps Universal Wall Plug Range Extender/ Wi-Fi Booster (WPS function, Easy Configuration) (Accessory)
Tp link stuff always looks cool and always works out the box. Seen reviews by others who say it doesn't work. Well, that's probably either they no nothing about networks or don't read the instructions!
The first time you use this, plug it in, do the auto match and see it work. Then, switch the darn thing OFF then back on again. This is in the instructions! It is there to enable the device to save the configuration.
It works. It does it's job well. It looks nice. Superb job again TP-Link

Thank you for your helpful comments. Can you please help me get mine started. I plugged the wireless booster into a plug near the Virgin Super Hub modem. I followed the instructions, i.e. press the button on the modem then, press the button on the wireless booster. The modem button started flashing so did the wireless part of the booster. Then nothing, it kept on flashing, I left it for 1/2 hour , by then the modem had stopped flashing but the booster was still flashing. I unplugged it and started again, the same thing happened again and again.
Then I tried again, after I saw the wireless button on the booster flashing I pressed the button on the wireless booster again and all the Blue lights lit up and after a couple of minutes stopped flashing, the only thing that was flashing was the wireless signal part of the booster.
I took the booster out of the electric socket to take upstairs and all the lights went out, I plugged it into a socket but the lights did not come back on.
Can you please tell me what I am doing wrong, I am at my wits end, an OAP with not much technical knowledge, but I do know how to follow instructions. You state to turn it off then on again to set the signal. This is not in the quick set up instructions though.
I do hope you read this and reply to me. Thank you.
