Elvis '56 has now been truly heralded with this phenomenal package.
As music historians know, 1956 was the year the world was set on fire by a young man with the unlikely name, the scorching music, the 'satanic' stage moves, and the best looks any man ever had. And of course the most endearing charisma - all at just 21!
This box set is crammed full of goodies, so well presented and packaged it's almost a crime to unravel and use. It is so tempting to just stare at the contents without playing or handling anything. All the masters Elvis recorded in '56 are here with studio outtakes and in between recordings studio chat - in superb sound. It is mind boggling just how much Elvis achieved in that one year. This box set just had to happen.
Equally fascinating are replicas of so much of related documentation from that year, as well as a book that will show you just what went on around Elvis in 1956. It's just too much to list here but I guarantee your total fascination. After going through all this, I realised like never before just what Elvis had to go through to get to where he did. It is just as terrifying as it is amazing. No wonder the world went nuts when he happened.
A little costly yes, but trust me you don't want to miss this if early Elvis means anything to you.
