I have used this product for almost a month and it has been perfect... regularly connecting to Tomtom Home via my laptop I receive the latest map updates, speed cameras etc. I connected on Wednesday 7th July and one of the updates was a "vital upgrade" of the Tomtom software itself... from then on I have been unable to connect to the Live Services (HD Traffic and fuel prices).
I have been on the phone to the support line and constant email. I have sent them all the information on the Tomtom and my laptop but as yet they have not resolved the reason why it will not connect.
If I had not had this problem the product would be getting 4-5 stars as it works extremely well... just the support from Tomtom Live Services is letting it down.

I purchased the Via 120 UK ROI and it was connected to my laptop for two days before it eventually connected to the Live Services, even then it did not work correctly.
I then contacted TomTom customer services and for what they where telling me I could have gone to a 5 year old child who would have given me more help. If anyone is interested in my opinion on this product it is AVOID IT LIKE IT HAS A DOSE OF THE PLAGUE

I've had similar problems with another TomTom product. Update completely stopped traffic and customer support acted as if it had never happened before. They eventually "escalated" the problem and I never ever heard from them again. I returned the product.

If you look around online you will find this is routine with TomTom. If it helps, I found exactly the same experience with Garmin but with none of the positives of the TomTom product when it worked

Now I am not sure if I am going to buy this product after all after reading through all these comments. After care customer service is more important to me.

I've had exactly the same problem with my 1000 live. I'm that fed up with it I was just looking at buying another. The live service is fantastic, when its working. I had mine problem free for over 12 months untill I got the updates, now its hit or miss if it works or not.
