1.0 out of 5 stars Defective discs, 22 Nov 2010
This review is from: Star Wars: The Phantom Menace Ultimate Edition (Audio CD)
There's some nice music on this release, but the booklet is awkwardly glued to the outer cover and worse, a large number of the discs have a manufacturing flaw meaning the mirror surfaces turn grey and can no longer be played.

G. Morgan says:
Hi - can you tell me where you heard/read of this manufacturing flaw, and whether you have personally experienced the defect?

EDIT - I have done some research regarding this alleged problem with the production company and others. I was unaware of this problem, but the CD Production company confirm that this problem exists. It has also been reported with a few other products. The problem lies with a chemical reaction to a certain type of glue used in the manufacture. However - the good news is that the problem can be cured by GENTLY washing the affected CD's using a solution of warm water and washing up liquid. Your CD's will be just fine, and playable again. Scouring Pads not recommended for obvious reasons!
