This review is from: Anno 2070 - Collector's Edition (PC DVD) (DVD-ROM)
As a fan of previous Anno games, this one had a lot to live up to, and live up to it did.
The game provides you with some quite eye-appeasing graphics, a good and realistic storyline that one can relate to, and pretty good playability to boot. As most strategy games have, this has that element of working out the best you can get, and then the painstaking reworking of the supply chain to support the ever growing population, the occasional attach by FATHER, and the desire to get some of those mega-projects completed. it is also "easy" to get into, it wasn't complicated to learn how to play, and get stuck into playing it, although mastering it takes a little more time.
Yes, there's a DRM that has some horror stories, but for me, it's not been a problem for me, I'm lucky to change the computer once every couple of years, by which time I'll be onto the next game.
I'm not a fan of having the soundtrack separate, so I didn't get to enjoy that, but the artbook was very nice, and the tech tree did have it's uses, which I think was worth the extra ten quid over the standard edition.
