Audio glitch on Fire Walk With Me,
This review is from: David Lynch Box Set [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
I just wanted to let potential buyers now that Lost Highway isn't the only disc in this set to contain a serious error: the audio on Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me drops in pitch very dramatically about half a dozen times throughout the film, and often at very dramatic moments in the film. This is impossible not to notice if you watch the film from start to finish, and it's hard to imagine how an error as big as this passed through any form of quality control before this product was released. I asked for and received a refund from Amazon after my purchase, but would advise others to steer clear of this mess for now.

This is the review for the replacement box Universal, or rather CINRAM LOGISTICS on behalf of Universal, posted me this morning after I complained about the first box.
Outwardly identical, if there is some small indicator (ala the STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION SEASON ONE second pressing) of which version you have in your hands, I cannot find it. However, the discs for FWWM, Wild at Heart and Lost Highway are now very different.
Fire Walk With Me now has a repaired and flawless PCM 2.0 stereo track AND a 5.1 DTS HD-MA track. I can unequivocally say this is the best presentation of the film available, with the film's visual presentation having more filmic, natural colours than the French disc, and idential audio.
Wild at Heart - flawless/without defect PCM stereo again, and a 5.1 DTS HD-MA track. Very happy.
Lost Highway - Dolby Digital 5.1 and the 2.0 PCM Stereo. Now, obviously, no longer skips.
With these in mind, I can quite happily say the boxset is a great buy. It has a ton of extras and the presentation of the films is nothing to scoff at. But make sure you get this version.
