Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Dyson DC34 Multi Floor Handheld Vacuum with Longer Run Time (Kitchen & Home)
Firstly can I say that we have had many dyson products in the past and have always been very happy, we still have a dyson vacuum cleaner which is great,
I then come to the dc34, we first bought this handheld a couple of months ago, the problems started within a couple of weeks, when you are vacuuming it just cuts out, you have to take your finger of the trigger and then press it again, it happens again and again, so we phoned dyson, we went through the checks with them and they decided it was the battery, which they happily replaced, new battery arrives, problem persists, phone dyson again, oh no it's the filter not the battery, new filter, problem persists, phone dyson, faulty filter, new filter, problem persists. Phoned dyson again and said we were really not happy with spending £140 on a dyson which doesn't work, they said phone amazon as they can't help, phoned amazon, great customer service as always. Sent us a replacement, same problem within a week.
My advice would be to find a different machine, we are still trying to decide what to replace it with.
This is a real shame considering how reliable dyson products normally are.
Very very disappointed dyson.

Mrs. P. A. Porter says:
what a shame - ours has gone the same way just ten days under a year, although it has been playing up in this way for months. Not worth paying all that money for a battery so will just ditch it as not fit for purpose and buy a cheaper but longer lasting one like the one we had before - for no more or even less than the cost of a Dyson battery!

I have the same problem, just under 2 years old. Spent all this money and the machine is dead. Should of purchased a similar product from Aldi for £30 and you get a 3 year warranty. Customer service don't seem to understand the value of money. I had to work a whole week to purchase this item. And gone wrong in 2 years.
