A very poor offering,
This review is from: The Daring Dozen: 12 Special Forces Legends of World War II (General Military) (Hardcover)
Right from the start this book lets you know what to expect: poor research and journalistic writing. The simplest of checks would have told Gavin Mortimer that Mark Clark was not the commander of V Corps in April 1945. And it gets worse. Bill Slim was not a Field Marshal when he commanded Fourteenth Army. The author's version of the Termoli battle is more like fiction than reality. Glad I got this at a huge discount, otherwise I might be trying to get my cash back. Not to be recommended at all.
I awarded this one star because the system doesn't allow me to give it zilch but that's what it really deserves.
