Big Miracle film story,
This review is from: Big Miracle: Three Trapped Whales, One Small Town, A Big-Hearted Story of Hope (Kindle Edition)
Better than the film summary would lead you to believe, the book clearly puts the case of the native people alongside the interests of big business, rolling news coverage and the small efforts in murderous conditions to make a difference that the whales make just to survive. Whether or not your politics is challenged or comforted by what happened and how human efforts came together, this is a record of events influencing ordinary people around the entire world from an original news story of little over a minute. It's an historical moment in news technology, Glasnost and how simply a few people together may make something worthwhile happen in spiritual, physical and amazingly difficult physical terms. Recommend this to teen, family, student and ordinary people to show how underneath a lot of civilisation layers which clash there is able to be a bigger and more positive human success. I recommend it to you as worthwhile for the humorous tone blended with the factual, and to flesh out personal memories of the news at that time.
