3.0 out of 5 stars not a good place, 22 April 2014
This review is from: Thinking Of Another Place.. (Audio CD)
I was looking forward to this as I liked the Rock N Roll Heart album when it came out and I missed this tour.
Well I am glad I did apart from the tracks off the above mentioned album on the cd the older tracks
from other albums all sound the same and boring. The main problem is there is very little guitar and
there is loud saxophone on nearly every track with a jazzy feel, there's nothing wrong with jazz but they
don't suit these songs. If you want a good live album from Lou get Rock N Roll Animal I feel sadly this has been rushed
out to cash in on his death not one of his best RIP Lou.

At least Lou Reed actually plays guitar on this album, which he did not do on Rock and Roll Animal

Rock and Roll Animal has a totally unsympathetic band messing about behind Lou who sounds terrible
It's standard seventies rock band stuff like the Allman Brothers and all those sad guys
It's not Lou Reed as we know it, Jim
Stick with Take No Prisoners
BTW that's a Star Trek joke for you humourless Amazon review readers
