My least favorite SF toy so far...,

This review is from: Sylvanian Families Ambulance With Paramedic (Toy)
If I hadn't gotten this on special offer with the Cottage Hospital, I would have felt totally ripped off. As it is, I only feel kind of gutted.
One of my problems is that the Ambulance is as big as the Cottage Hospital. I mean sure, I don't want it to be tiny but it is totally out of scale, and this is a good reason to never get SF cars. Size, however, is the least of my problems.
It's also all white and black/very dark green, even after you put on the decals - which you have to do yourself, or help your kid with. It's very plain. Would a little red have gone amiss? Most real Ambulances have some red on them and it would have really brightened up the toy.
Small pieces aren't always a bad thing for detail, but many of the pieces here are transparent plastic, making them easy to lose. Worse, the detail on them isn't even that good compared to other SF toys. You need to fold up books and the medicine boxes yourself. For little (or big!) hands this can definitely be fiddly. The same for some of the stickers, which are terribly small. You don't exactly get too many chances if you mess it up.
Finally, for some reason not only do pictures show the Paramedic (not included) driving the Ambulance, they DON'T show Mr Honeybear, the actual driver included in the box, which is flat out silly.
