This review is from: The Mighty Boosh : Complete BBC Series 3 [2007] [DVD] (DVD)
Some of this is really funny. Some of it is fan service (and fair enough - I like to see boys kissing as much as the next girl). Lots of it is recycled (which is such a shame coz one of the best things about the Boosh is originality). Some of it is not funny.

The worst thing is this: the bits that are not funny aren't unfunny in the kind of still-interesting, somehow-strangely-mesmerizing way that the less funny bits of the first two series were. In some of the episodes Fielding seems just - well, tired. And a tired Vince doesn't work.

Also, the last episode was plain bad.

On the plus side, there are still flashes of genius. More than in most comedy series. It's really only the comparison with the first two series that makes this disappointing.

Fielding (Noir) DOES seem tired. I'm glad I'm not the only one to have noticed this. There's something in his eyes in a couple of these new episodes that makes me think he's really bored...and/or hung over. The magic might be gone!

You totally hit the nail on the head ... I came on amazon to write a review but you said it all. I still love the boosh too but it was disappointing. Did you go and see the live show? I wasn't convinced by that either ...

Spot on.

Maybe if you watched this without ever having seen the first 2 series then you'd think it was brilliant, but as it is this is a 3-star job if ever there was one.

Noticed how mixed the reviews are for this series??

I was a little offput by the lack of original content, also. It's a shame because the second series was a vast improvement on the first.

Don't see how 10 out of 48 could not find your review helpful, have 1+ from me.
