5.0 out of 5 stars Mighty Bright light for Kindle, 5 Jan. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Mighty Bright eFlex Clip-On Reading Light for Kindle (Black) (Accessory)
Bought because I really should have bought the Lighted Kindle case when I bought my Kindle.
This light however has turned out to be very good indeed. Works well with the Kindle, provides good light and very flexible positioning.
Have had batteries in use since early December and they are just fading now after about 4 weeks of use every evening and they seem easy to replace. Replace the batteries by sliding open the top part of the base clip.
Highly recommended.

I am very interested in buying one of these, well at least my husband is very keen that I buy one. But do you know what type of battery it takes?

Hello
Batteries are CR2032 as used in calculators etc. Available from Boots @ around £3.00 for two packs (6 pcs.) or Amazon @£2.49 for 10.
Go for it!

Bruce,

Have you noticed any flickering with your light, I recieved mine yesterday and there was no tag blocking the battery (whether that implies it may be drained...) and when using I found that while it is quite bright, it would start to fade, then brighten again and flicker randomly. Possibly just faulty but wondering if others have noticed this?

Hello Aidan
No, never experienced that problem. Suggest that you ensure that the battery cover is fitted correctly, the contact might not be good enough if the cover is "loose".
I don`t think the light would flicker when the batteries are getting flat, just tends to get dimmer.

Thanks, thats what I would have expected. Hadn't time to play with it but will double check contacts and if not it's back to sender with it :)

Very fair points, but other reviews say that the light is actually to bright. In your view, is this true?

Hello M Wilkinson
Not too bright in my opinion, anyway with new batteries when the light is at its brightest you could always have the actual light a little further away from the screen. the arm is very flexible.
