Although 'Lethal Investments' is the fourth novel, featuring the Oslo
detectives Gunnarstranda and Frolich ,to be published in English,it is
the first in the series.Despite being published out of written order,
one's enjoyment is not spoiled.
When Reiden Rosendal,a young single attractive woman is murdered in her
apartment,the man she slept with that night becomes a suspect.He is then
murdered ,and the two detectives switch their attention onto Reiden's
employers, a shady computer company.
In a sense the story is a traditional 'whodunnit',with the detectives
relying,not so much on traditional spade-work,but rather interviews and
intuition,in order to discover the culprit.
This is both a satisfying read in itself ,and also a good introduction-for
those who have not encountered them before -to the fascinating detectives
Gunnarstranda and Frolich.
