This review is from: A Star Is Born: The Making of the 1954 Movie and Its 1983 Restoraton (Paperback)
This book is a detailed look at the making of a Star Is Born, which pulls the reader into the everyday ups and downs of a film set. To my surprise, I found even the in-depth descriptions of different types of film interesting. Even though I knew how it all turned out, it made me hope all along that those making the film had had the same kind of hindsight! The story of how the film was found and put together again was actually exciting. Altogether, an unusual and satisfying book.
