A really good book for the new allotmenteer !,
This review is from: The Allotment Book: Seasonal Planner and Cookbook (Hardcover)I got my allotment last year and someone kindly bought me Andi Clevely's "The Allotment Book" and also this "Allotment Seasonal Planner".
I'm very impressed with both of them and they compliment each other very well. I can strongly recommend them both if, like me, you're fairly new to growing your own or you need some help in improving your skills. I've looked at a few other similar books too and I think these are about the best I've seen... I was just lucky to be given them.
The Allotment Book tells you how to do the basics and how to get started. The Seasonal Planner assumes you can do these things but helps you organise your work so that you learn to do the most important things at the right time.
The Seasonal Planner also includes some recipe ideas for your fruit and veg which are quite a nice addition, but the book is first and foremost about how to plan your time on the allotment to help you be successful.
