Very comprehensive but dull,
This review is from: Ubuntu Linux Toolbox: 1000+ Commands for Ubuntu and Debian Power Users (Paperback)
I wouldn't recommend this for complete novices to Ubuntu as it is nearly all 300+ pages of text. It is a comprehensive book on how to work the command line and in that respect it's very good, but it's a bit like eating a whole packet of digestive biscuits and then washing it down with a couple of spoonfuls of instant coffee - rather dry!
Depending what you need to do and what your level of interest is I would say if you are starting out, you wouldn't need this book until 2-6 months after you have installed Ubuntu.
A great reference guide, but not an exciting read.
