Stunning! (for 5 minutes),
This review is from: LG 42LM670T - 42" 3D Full HD LED Television [Electronics] (Electronics)
I too didn't buy this product from Amazon (Somewhere on Google shopping had an offer on for £140 cheaper!). I've had this for just over 2 months now and it is stunning! Perfect replacement for my 2010 Samsung LED Series 4 TV, can't fault it, pretty thin, buttons are nice, and the Magic Remote + 7 sets of glasses included (1 clipon, 2 for splitscreen/fullscreen gaming, 4 standard pairs) is fantastic quality, only wish I had gone for the 47" version which was only £90 more expensive on the same website.
Ok 8 months in and I have found MASSIVE issues with this TV:
1) The framerate is awful. I lost/drew 13 games of FIFA before realising that the refresh rate/response time was to blame, not my reaction times. I dual monitor with a 27" monitor, and when moving applications over from the monitor to the TV, you can see there is a very obvious response time delay of roughly half a second (MASSIVE difference when trying to sync surround sound audio with peoples lips, and when playing games). It is absolutely impossible to play games on this TV, and have set up my older Samsung 40" for gaming separately now...
2) As others have stated, the sound dies, sometimes you can be watching TV for hours and it will just go (I just spent a good 40 minutes watching TV with no sound before realising it wasn't on mute). Sometimes it is muted as you turn it on, and you need to turn the TV off and back on again to get the sound back.
3) The wifi card in this TV must be absolutely awful. I have a small cheap Wifi extension for my Sky+HD box(Sky Anytime) which is much further away, and it picks up a much better signal. The TV drops out, and takes up to 20 minutes to load up my NAS drive, which other (Samsung) smart devices pick up instantly.
4) The colour depth is very lacking - Needed to disable all of the auto contract crap with all other settings just to get peoples lips syncing OK (this without surround sound). The setting to counter this isn't enough to counteract this.
I am a real defender of 3D technology, but ultimately, after the first couple of weeks of 'Look what I have, yes, that is 3d, oooh', it doesn't get used. I regret buying this now, I'd much prefer a modern 50"-60" plasma which might have decent contrast settings. and would still save me a bit of money on this 42"er

This review was helpful but it would be more helpful if you could provide the details of the website where you purchased your product as it appears to be worth checking out.

Wasn't sure if this was allowed, but as Amazon aren't selling this anymore, I guess it is okay. ReliantDirect.co.uk - It was on offer there, but overall it is a good place for TVs.
