Works With MacBook Pro (2011) and X plane 9,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Logitech 942-000005 Extreme 3D Pro Joystick for PC (Accessory)
The postman delivered this today and I immediately got it out and plugged it into my MacBook Pro labtop. I was a little apprehensive as I heard that the new intel based MBP (New Apple Macbook Pro 15 inch Notebook (Intel Core i7 Quad Core 2.2GHz, 4GB RAM, 750GB HDD, Up to 7 hrs battery life) - Launched February 2011) which I brought last month had proplems recognising some Logitech joysticks. I am please to say that this joystick worked perfectly with my labtop.
It appears to be of sturdy design and is vary comfortable to use. The base is wide and heavy enough so that it doesn't move when being used and seems to be of quality build.
Unlike my old Microsoft Force Feedback 2 joystick it doesn't require a power supply, which is a bonus, though I don't think it has force feedback on it.
Oh, and I got this for X-Plane 9 (Mac) and it seems to work vary well, though, as another reviewer says, you do have to program all the buttons, which is easy enough, for use with X Plane 9.
I am vary pleased with it and would recommend it to anybody using a MacBook Pro and X Plane 9.
