It took me a while to decide to get this as it was my first projector, im glad i did as i am very pleased.
After taking a week to clear a wall I set it up about 2.1m away and plugged it into my main computer i got a fantastically large screen, i played a couple of games (skyrim, portal 2) and they looked great they really make it a great experience.
i watched some HD films and they really do look great, just like you are at the cinema, they are beautiful. in my opinion this is where it really shines, to me it feels like i am at the cinema and that is exactly what i wanted when i bought this as i do love movies.
Fan noise is non-existent on ECO mode, it is barely a whisper. its easy to configure. My major concern was that a lot of reviews said that the blacks were quite washed out but i found that if you change the color space on the projector it fix's that. its easily useable in daylight and its throw distance is perfect for small rooms. im projecting on a grey wall and it still looks great and natural.
I have yet to set it up properly as its just on my desk at the moment. i will ceiling mount it, get a nice screen and wire it in properly to my HTPC at some point soon.
Overall this is a really great projector and 720p is great, i find it better than my 1080p 40" samsung in experience even on a grey wall, i have yet to try the 3D but im looking forward to getting some glasses and trying it out. i really do recommend it to anyone that wants this projector as a budget home theatre projector or anyone that wants to play games, once its set up its awesome, if anyone has any questions about it i would be happy to answer them.

Are you using an HDMI input for your current setup? I believe the projector will work with 1 input from say a computer or do you have to use both HDMI inputs at the same time?

Yes i am, i'm using a HDMI cable from a computer. You don't have to have two things plugged in, if you had two things plugged in there is a button on the remote that allows you to change between sources. so having a computer, one cable and the projector will work fine. hope this helps.

Very helpful review, thanks. I am thinking of getting this projector. When you mentioned the issue of the blacks being washed out, I was wondering, what do you mean by changing the color space? I was wondering if you could let us know what settings/values you have, what you changed compared to the default ones?
