This review is from: The Thistle and the Drone: How America's War on Terror Became a Global War on Tribal Islam (Hardcover)
I watched a story based on this book on Al Jeezira. The program was about the Oromo People in Ethiopia. The figure and the hostlity stated by the authors could not be true. As he stated 5 million oromo people (50%) were killed at the beginning of the 20 century, although the whole population of Ethiopia was around 9 million including the 84 tribes.
It show lack of intellectual integity as it seems it is politically motivated. To see this type of publication full of fabricated facts to collaborate his paranoia that everybody is against the Islamic faith is wrong.

As Ethiopia is the source of Nile and Egypt likes to maintain the status quo. Egypt with its "so called" intellectuals and experts, they write so much non-sense on the history of Ethiopia to divide the people and cause friction between different ethnic groups in Ethiopia.
I believe the so-called intellectuals should be objective in their research and communication. They should be honest more than anything.

If any one write these type of non-senses in a scientific book, he will be condomned or fired from his position. Honesty is the mother of wisdom.
I recommend people to donate their money to charity than buying this book and waste your time.
