5.0 out of 5 stars LG Blu-ray burner, 19 Mar. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: LG BH16NS40 16x SATA Internal BD-RW Retail Kit (Accessory)
I had read conflicting reviews about this burner, but, from what I had read, it appears that homework may not have been done concerning weather computers were up to the task or not.
I purchased this burner and quickly installed it in my Lenovo computer, processor i7 running Windows 8.with 16MB ram and a top graphics card.
edited my home HD video and sent it for burning to Blu-ray disc.
Well, I have burned three of my own home HD movies to different makes of Blu-ray discs, they have burned perfectly, and play perfect in several different Blu-ray players, both old and new.
Up to now I can not fault this Blu-ray burner at all.

Mr. Davies, thank you for your kind reply!. Phew, what a relief. I have two tubs of pi-data 25GB discs and one tube of pi-data 50GB discs that were not compatible with my current LG BH10LS30 BD-RE drive. This was a big problem as I sunk a lot of money into those items. Hopefully, this new gen of LG BD-RE drive does sound compatible.

Hi Mr. Davies. I just received my BD-RE drive about 5 minutes ago. Did your retail box have any sort of security/cellotape seal?. Mine does not and it also looks as though the box has been previously opened (customer return perhaps?). Would appreciate if you could let me know.

P. Davies says:
Yes, my Writer had a security seal, which was intact, I would get an exchange
