A book that gives a wave of pleasure!,

The Seventh Wave by Geoffrey Knight
Sequel to The Pearl
Having read The Pearl, I eagerly looked forward to its sequel. I was not disappointed.
Jad, determined to be a doctor, now leaves Luke to experience another world, away from the roots of his simple boyhood to the social and academic life of University, assisted by his new friend Brandon, the son of a San Francisco doctor.
Jad did not expect, or desire another lover. But amongst his inner turmoil is the need for companionship and release of sexual tensions.
In profound poetic language, we are allowed to experience all the deep emotions of love and loyalty, joy and despair, happiness and heartache. We are left in no doubt where Jad's heart really lies, as we follow him on a journey into the mysterious soil of his roots. This indeed is a journey of discovery.
Geoffrey Knight is a master of brevity. But his words draw on the full senses, and convey a whole gamut of emotions. In a few words nothing essential is left out. Writers of any genre can learn from such skills.
Forget mere Gay genre -- this is true Romance at its best, tinged with thrilling adventure, as, with Jad, we ride the seventh wave of sacrificial love.
