ok fair point if it helps i am , all for helping the industry but as person who buys a lot of media , i am old fashioned ans like the physical product the old jewel cases worked well , stored well and do a good job of keeping the disk safe.

I agree with the comments about not getting a proper jewel case, although it appears from the mouse clicks that most people don't. I have some CDs in paper cases which are 25 years old now and they look really shabby, but there's nothing that can be done about it. At least with a jewel case you can replace it if it gets damaged or tatty. Also, depending on the paper packaging, you can't always read the album title on the edge of the case and some are a non-standard size and don't stack well with the rest of the CD collection. I do like to know before I buy what packaging I'm going to get (and I wish Amazon would always make it clear) so I do regard the review as helpful.
I probably would have added a comment about the music to my review though...

Great album. Listened to the album earlier and now have the song Eyes Wide Open stuck in my head. But that's ok, I like it! What I don't like about the album is the horrible card sleeve and I agree with your comments. The disc always gets scratched in one of those paper or card cases and I can never get the disc out. In the shops I noticed it was in a plastic case so why I have I received it in a card one?

I think knocking off a couple of stars because of a cardboard cover is a bit extreme. The album is what is being reviewed surely, not the cover!!!

I agree with you about the cover. I don't like the cardboard ones either but I know why they use them (recyclable and plastic ones aren't!).
Annoyingly, whilst waiting for my album to be delivered, I noticed the CD in a supermarket & it was definitely in a plastic case so not sure why I and lots of others received a card one!!
I do think your review is helpful to a degree but you don't mention the music which has annoyed some as maybe they wanted to know about that too.
But I do agree with you - I was disappointed too!
(p.s I deleted the above post as only half of it was shown up to where I mentioned amazon)
