I've always been a fan of Danny Wallace in the past, and I picked this up with some trepidaton because I was unsure whether he would make the transition to novels well. However, I found it to be a fun read and I found myself going back to it even when I should have been doing other things! The story details the changing life of Jason Priestly, former teacher and now journalist. Upon being left with a camera by a girl he helps with bags into a taxi, he finds himself searching for her, after idolising what he doesn't know of her and imagining it.
What I liked about this was that it didn't try too hard, and it was very believable. It flowed, and when reading it, I'd look up and find an hour had passed. I look forward to reading his next novel.
