OK for kids,
This review is from: Pixnor Colorful LED Bluetooth Dancing Water Speakers for iPhone, iPad, Cellphone, PC (Black) (Accessory)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
These speakers seem like a great idea, but unfortunately they've not been well made.
To connect them up, you need either two or three wires, despite the face that they are described as 'wireless'. One wire connects the speakers to a USB outlet to power them, one wire connects the speakers together, and another wire connects them to your audio source (iPod etc) if you're not using bluetooth. Most of the speakers I've tried lately in this category have been battery-operated so the need for so many wires is annoying and messy in comparison.
The speakers look OK when they get going, with four different coloured shoots of water which ascend to different heights with the music. However, the effect is fairly basic, and the colours don't change. Also, the water makes quite a lot of noise, so you find that if you are listening to music quietly, or even listening to acoustic music loudly, the noise of the water and motor is extremely distracting. Therefore the speakers are only really useful for listening to beat-heavy pop or rock. The sound of the speakers themselves isn't good either, with a lot of fuzz and distortion.
The speakers do work, and the effect is novel, so I can imagine kids who don't care too much about sound quality quite enjoying these. However I don't think they will satisfy anyone else, which is a shame as the idea is cool.
