Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Case Logic - DLBP114K - 13"-14.1" Laptop Backpack - Black (Personal Computers)
I have been on a quest for the perfect rucksack for over 10 years, looking at prices right across the board. I was willing to part with £200 for the right one.

In short, This is the best backpack I've found so far. It holds my 13" MacBook, iPad, and a few books, contains sundry pockets all over the place which are just the right size for holding an iphone, keys, tissues, travel cards etc. No more fumbling for car keys.
( not sure if you'd want to be putting anything valuable in those small outer pockets when standing in dodgy looking queues for the bus or tube)
It looks so good - I bought the black, wasn't sure about the grey. anyhow the black looks sleek, and a lot more expensive than the £22 I paid for it. It doesn't look bulky and is very well made.

I also cut off the small tacky looking caselogic logo label on one of the arms. Easily done, and now it is perfect.

Hi, I've also been on the hunt for a good laptop bag for a while now
so a couple of questions, this product doesn't have a strap to keep the laptop from moving it seems... have you experienced that as being a problem? or is the lap top kept from moving in some other way? Also is it water proof in any way, at least the base?
thanks!

hi, the section that holds the laptop is padded all around, more so than the rest of the bag. i personally haven't felt the need of a strap to hold it in place - the machine i carry is a 13 macbook pro.The padding keeps to quite snug. the rucksack is made of sturdy waterproof fabric, but not sure what would happen if , say, you were to have it on your back while cycling through a rainy day in London. The base is also padded so the laptop section should be better protected from water, but i haven't stood it in a puddle to test it out!
I don't think you will regret buying this. not sure if its big enough for a lot of schoolbooks as well, but if you want to carry your laptop around and use it in a coffeeshop it's perfect.

the case logic logos are all stitched on labels, so I was able to cut them off neatly, making it even more stylish.

Hi,

How much padding is on the shoulder arms? Does the area where the laptop is stored have any soft lining?

Thanks

It sits very comfortably on the shoulder, but the backpack will still be awfully heavy with a MBPro, iPad and a couple of books.
It also sits comfortably against the spine.
The laptop section is very thickly padded
