Very nice piece of history,

This review is from: Maximum Life Span (Paperback)
This book is 30 years old, authored by the one who might be the modern father of the best perspective on health, that of calorie restriction and implicitly a diet of high nutrient foods.
There are several neat ideas in this book, such as the survival graph, DNA repair, the outdated idea of taking antioxidant supplements, all well put together at a time with probably no computer editing.
Some important ideas present in this book only seem to have been popularized about one decade ago.
Do not be deceived to think that it was published in 2006. I don't regret buying it, although the price was relatively steep at ~11 pounds.
There are a few more recent publications by Roy Walford. Also, if you are interested in the concept of a diet with high nutrient foods, you could check out "Super Immunity", by Joel Furnham.
