This is a very efficient kettle, its broad base allowing rapid heat transfer to the water and hence speedy boiling. Construction quality is very impressive, giving the impression it will last for a long time. The stay-cool soft silcone grip makes for easy holding, with no need to protect the hands from hot metal. The kettle's appearance is also quite distinctive, especially in the standard black and stainless steel.

On the downside, it is quite heavy (partly because it's so well constructed), so may not suit those with a weak grip. Also, a slight disappointment is that the lid must be removed to fill it, as the whistle assembly does not hinge back far enough to allow it to be filled through the spout. (While this is true of most kettles, it is possible to find some that allow this.)

Overall, definitely recommended.
