5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome performance, 4 Oct 2010
This review is from: OCZ OCZSSD2-2VTXE120G Vertex 2 120GB SATA II 2.5 inch SSD (Personal Computers)
I got one of these (OCZ Vertex 2 120GB) for my 15" Macbook Pro, to replace a 7200 RPM Seagate drive. The difference is performance is remarkable, particularly application startup, Photoshop CS4 and MS Office are snappy, and XP on VMware Fusion is no longer thrashing my system.

xbench reporting the following for the OCZ Vertex:

I'm considering buying this item, but unsure of it's reliability, due to some reviewers. Does it still work ok for you?

Didn't see your query earlier but yes the drive is still going strong. I've got a 120GB Samsung SDD in my Dell work laptop and that has worked flawlessly too, so I feel safe enough with SDD drives.
