Let hope for next time, right?!,
This review is from: Venom: Devil's Pack (Paperback)
Well Venom is back...
This collection of Venom Comics will pass an hour of your time, but that is about it.
It seems in Venom we where introduced to an amazingly deep and powerful 'super'hero, but since we have been waiting, passing the time with the odd graphic novel here and there about the same person, but a watered down version and with no real direction.
I was hopping for a lot with this one, after the last couple I was expecting a real breakthrough within this series, but I am once again left with nothing but hope in the next instalment.
The art work is fantastic and the lettering and layout is great, but the story is weak, playing of older stories which are equally as weak.
What we need is a 'super'hero who doesn't want it or think he deserve it, who is battling with his past just as much if not more than the present and with that reality in his mind that he doesn't quite 'fit in' with the rest of the superheroes, what we don't need is what we get, a weak watered down character who is invincible just to hide the fact there is no depth to him.
Let hope for next time, right?!
