Samsung 900X3A - Very Disappointing,
This review is from: Samsung 900X3A 13.3 inch Laptop (Intel Core i5 2467UM 1.6GHz, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD, WLAN, BT, Webcam, Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit) (Personal Computers)
This is the most disappointing laptop that I have owned. Based upon the reviews of the Samsung 900X3A I took the plunge and purchased the machine. However from day one it was something of a let down. The screen is wide and narrow, so frustrating to work with Microsoft Office and the ribbons as little usable screen space remains. It lacks USB connectors. It does not have a standard monitor output connector. I appreciate these are omitted to save on space and keep the machine sleek, however it proved very inconvenient on many an occasion. The mouse pad is also cumbersome to adapt to. Battery life is not as impressive as advertised by a long shot. As for the build quality the screen has completely failed after 4 months. Samsung customer service really leaves a lot to be desired. Initially I was told to run the self repair software - difficult when you can't see anything. Then I was promised a return label and box to send the machine to a service centre. After approximately 6 calls and one month passing by there was still no label or box. In the end I had to drop the machine off myself at a repair centre which certainly wasn't convenient. I also had to prove the machine was within warranty with an invoice despite the model not even being on the market for a year. I will never buy a Samsung machine again. Buyer be warned.

Mr. D. R. Jones says:
"Does not have a standard monitor output connector"
"The mouse pad is also cumbersome to adapt to"
Change the settings.
"Battery life is not as impressive as advertised by a long shot"
Shame about the screen issue though :(

Thanks for the feedback.
Re the USB ports, yes it does have them, but once it has a mouse plugged in, there is only one spare, so I am always juggling stuff.
As for the monitor output - I just think for the price it is pretty poor form not to include an adaptor. It is also another thing try to find the Samsung accessorieson there website.
Yes, mouse pad has got better.
Still wish I had bought a Dell.
