Super quality and built like a tank,
This review is from: Beyerdynamic DT250 Headset - 80 OHM (Electronics)
I bought a pair of these over 10 years ago for use at work.
They have very good external noise isolation, so when there's mayhem and shouting in the office I can put these on and shut myself away.
The build quality is fantastic, and they've probably been used for 2 or 3 hrs every working day for those 10 years on average, so have had a lot of use. The only items I've replaced are the velour earpads last year as my old ones were getting threadbare and were very dirty. The fact that almost every component can be replaced is excellent, and they currently look (and sound) good as new.
I'm not an 'audiophile', but I really enjoy the sound of these 'phones. A nice chunky bass (I listen to a *lot* of techno and electronica), clear treble and midrange, and as I work in the audio field on occasion, having a decent pair of headphones like these really helps me to mix.
Definitely recommended (I've had expensive AKGs and Sennheisers before, and both failed within a couple of years due to the cable losing connection, so one side would break up intermittently. With these, there's a curly telephone-style cable that plugs into the phones, so if you yank them they'll extend hugely, and eventually just unplug, rather than ripping out a hardwired cable like you get with a lot of other phones)
