Odd but Good,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Cyborg F.L.Y 5 (Personal Computers)This particular flight stick is a fairly piece of equipment. The entire thing is movable and allows you to tailor the stick to the shape of your hand. Unfortunately, this makes it feel flimsy in places and very loose. The entire head unit flexes when a button is pressed, and the flip-out base is not really a good support for the throttles.
Having said that, the twin throttles are excellent, as is the layout of the buttons. Using the appropriate software you can turn one of the buttons into a shift button and alter the other functions on the stick, this is implemented fairly well and is quite useful.
This stick has a fairly large range of movement, which takes some getting used to. However, it is not easy to calibrate, as the drivers that are automatically installed with this stick prevent it from being calibrated via the usual methods - I had to download and use a different program altogether to fix the rudder issues.
The hat switch works well, but the thumb toggle is not really fast enough to use for trim as it does not register every movement - you must be slow and careful with it for it to work properly.
In conclusion, there are better made sticks available for this price, but this one has so many useful features you can easily look past its faults.
Update - After less than a month, the stick completely stopped responding to input, which made it completely unusable. Consequently, I would not recommend this product to a friend. Amazon's customer service was excellent though.
