Slow and disappointing,

I didn't think this book was particularly well written - there seemed a strange paucity of detail and in many places I thought it read like a synopsis rather than an actual novel. I got the impression that the author had a brilliant story in her head that somehow got lost in the rush to get it down on paper. The storyline was good enough but unfortunately the writing simply didn't bring it to life. Disappointing.
Oh yes - there were a good few typos as well - not as many as some books I've read but if you're going to go to the trouble of writing a book at all, please take the trouble to proof read it.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm really sorry you didn't like the writing. I tried to make it pacey, but it seems this is not to everyone's liking. As for typos. We do care and bother but when you are trying to proof read 72,000 words it is often mesmerising and I have found many typos in professionally - full priced publications. Having said that I will continue to re-check my publications.
Many thanks for taking the time to review.
