Economics from a different perspective,

This review is from: The Romantic Economist: Imagination in Economics (Kindle Edition)
I had read Bronk's earlier book "Progress and the Invisible Hand" and wsa therefore aware of an opposing view to current economists, whose reliance on econometrics and complex mathematical models, have failed miserably to forecast major disasters, which have affected our lives. In this respect I was not disappointed. However, I was let down in my expectations in two respects. Firstly the use of the language of academic economists is hard going to say the least; I say this as a regular reader of the Times and FT on occasions. Secondly the subject is crying out for examples to make the point and the lack of any illustrations from the last hundred tears or so is very disappointing.
