This review is from: 30 Minute Crochet: What Can You Crochet in Half an Hour or Less? (Paperback)
I don't know if everything really does take half an hour or less, yet. But the instructions are clear, and the pictures are appealing and clear as well. There is a comprehensive list of what the yarn types mean, and a conversion chart for US/UK terms (so helpful as I learned from YouTube and didn't realise there were two sets!). Stitches are explained nicely and I think that if I didn't already know how to crochet, this book would give me a great start.
I always remember my Mum telling me that she tried to learn to crochet and got stuck on turning after making chains and anyway just going backwards and forwards was boring!. I'd say that if you try learning by making something from this book - something you can use right away - it will be much more rewarding. And the quickness of the projects means that almost everyone can find time to have go! :)
