I'd rather have saved up for something better,
This review is from: HP Pavilion G6-2261SA 15.6-inch Laptop (Intel Pentium B960 2.2GHz Processor, 6GB DDR3 RAM, 750GB SATA 5400RPM HDD, Intel HD Graphics, DVD-RAM, Integrated Webcam, Windows 8) (Personal Computers)
I've had this laptop for about 18 months. After careful daily use, the letters have worn off the keypads, the touchpad has a large worn away area, one key doesn't work at all and the fan is ridiculously loud.
The battery did wear out and am currently using a new one.
It has done it's job adequately, but rather than getting a newer HP, I bit the bullet and bought a MacBook Pro 15" retina and now see what I've been missing. Silent, quick and a joy to use. I now regret buying this as it was a false economy and I could have saved the cost of this and just gone for the Mac, which will probably last about 10 years.
If you possibly can stretch to it, I would thoroughly recommend saving yourself from a false economy and go for a MacBook Pro and you'll never look back. They are on a different planet from HP.
