I won a substantial contract thanks to this book,

5 years ago my team pitched for a public sector contract and lost. Beaten by a professional organisation. The contract came up for renewal, this time with additional keen competitors. We felt we were the best option, but how was I going to win the bid? Also the contract had been split into 2 halves now, but I wanted the whole pie!
It is a 3 year substantial contract, essential for the next step for our business. How would we sell ourselves to win? Looking for professional advice, I bought this book off amazon, and it is FANTASTIC.
It became our bible for our pitch.
The author provides a step by step approach covering all angles of the pitch, with excellent tips and illustrative stories. The advice on how to engage with the buyers, how to listen before pitching, how to establish trust before the bid, how to present yourselves and how to organise the presentation, and the chapter on getting the buyer to change their plans to agree with yours, all lead my team to victory.
We have the whole pie! They are prepared to take the risk of giving us both halves of the contract due to the excellence of our bid, our team, and our presentation. This book enabled us to sell ourselves and WIN.
Now we just have to perform, and it is back to us to succeed, and keep the contract for the next 20 years.
