Good Introduction , flawed by using SQL server for demo app,

This review is from: Visual Interdev 6 for Dummies (Paperback)
I bought Bill Hatfields book on the back of reading the excellent ASP for Dummies, expecting the same high quality approach to be employed. Sadly this book appears to have been written in a bit of a hurry and jumps about a lot leaving out explanations of key topics. For me as an intermediate level developer the biggest problem was the that the auction app-which in itself is well constructed-uses SQL server and requires the Enterprise edition of Vinterdev to follow it through. I think people buying books in the Dummies series are far more likely to use Access or another desktop database and use the pro version of Interdev. It would have better to have used Access throughout so everyone could follow what was going on.
