The downward spiral continues....,
This review is from: Poser Pro 2014 (PC/Mac) (DVD-ROM)
From as early as Poser 6 or 7, I've been getting the feeling that the developers were increasingly losing the plot. Things that had been simple to do became more awkward, and the general workflow felt more cumbersome and tedious. Things that weren't broken were 'fixed', and things that WERE broken stayed broken.
I must be one of the few people who have been using poser ever since Poser 1 (of course, it was just called 'Poser' back then). I love the software, both for what it can create as a standalone, and for how I can feed its output into other software to create even better pictures.
As another reviewer has pointed out, it's a pain to use Daz3D figures - though I think the blame there lies at least partly with Daz3d, who have a vested interest in promoting their own rival software.
And again, the software feels buggy and even more *needlessly* complicated than before. With other software, I would expect the 'features' to be fixed by patches relatively quickly. From my previous experience of Poser... well... don't hold your breath.
I love Poser, but I really can't recommend this incarnation at all.
