Not bad but not excellent either..,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Bradshaw's Railway Folded Map 1907 (Old House) (Map)
I bought this to go with Bradshaw's 1864 railway guide used in the excellent Michael Portillo "Great British railway journeys" series.
It is really good in the sense that at does show graphically the amazing extent of the British railway network in 1907. The reason I think it is not quite "excellent" is because it seems not to be as high a quality printed reproduction as the Bradshaws's 1864 guide is, which are both printed by the same publisher.
Essentially this is simply a map printed on good quality poster paper but doesn't feel as a map should. It's glossy and posterish. Because of the higher quality of the guide they may have made a rod for their own back here, although one nice thing about it is that is comes in a little sleeved storage jacket.
However I don't want to knock it too much, as it is clearly printed and certainly better than not having it and for that reason is worth buying.
