amazingley realistic and great fun.,
This review is from: Medal of Honor: Allied Assault (PC CD) (Video Game)
this has to be the most realistic game i have ever played, The recreation of world war 2 is both brilliant and shocking, Brilliant in the way every weapon or uniform is extremely detailed and the levels are so atmospheric that you fall so deep into the gameplay that you can easily lose 4 or 5 hours just trying to complete a couple of stages. The main level im sure every one will be talking about is the omaha level, this has to be the closest any of us will get to actually storming the beaches of Normandy. Let me describe a bit of it. You start the level aproachingthe beach in the higgins boat there are about 5 of you in there and you can hear the explosions in the distance. As you get closer the boat a couple of yards over from you gets hit, the guy next to you is praying he will survive this onslaught and then the whistle blows preparing every one to get ready to charge. As the door slams down the first row of people are mowed down before they even get of the boat and you rush for the nearest wooden stack just to survive the first two yards, then all you can see through the hail of bullets are the allies rushing and dying in front you and as your jaw drops at the amazing recreation of the omaha landings you also feel a bit saddened because it reminds you of what the real life soldiers must have gone through thats how realistic it is.
The graphics are great especially if you got the machine to handle the full spec, And the AI is great too
Another great part of the game is the multiplayer.
Yes it has your average deathmatch and teammatch but it also has an objective match where you and about twenty others can choose between allies or axis and you either have to blow a bridge or a flak gun or you have to defend them either way it is much better than just shooting people.
Right i think i've said enough, oh by the way this is a MUST bye for anyone even if you dont like first person shooters.
BYE IT NOW.
