ok, yes, i too, got the Euro plug which isnt ideal, as i had to fish out a travel adapter, which does make the connection less mechanically stable than a good old uk 3 pinner.
apart from that installation on a win 7 64 box was simple and hassle free.
i havent dabbled in the provided authoring and playback software, it was just the drive install, as i use other burning software
inserted the install CD, auto-played, popped up with a install now option, went through it automatically, installed 'turbo' usb feature and that was that really, drive was recognized, i did the firmware update as advised by the tool and was up and running in ~5 mins.
i have burnt several BD discs, a TDK BD-RE 50GB several times, putting various films on, i also used the included verbatim 25GB BD-R
and have burnt to my rewritable blu ray approximately 15 times, full capacity, in less than a week and all has been 100% perfect thus far, with the resultant discs working on philips standalones and sonys ps3
great drive, stylish, and well built and quiet to my ears, no complaints at all, apart from the silly plug issue.
