Inappropriate if your child does not have separated parents.,
This review is from: Fairy Dust (Fairies (MacMillan)) (Paperback)
Personally I do not feel this book is appropriate for the age range (4-7).
The underlying theme of the book is a little girl dealing with her parents separation. This in itself is great, when appropriate and I'm sure there is a niche market for it, as it is dealt with sensitively (which is why I scored the book 2 and not 1).
But I just wanted to buy a book about fairy dust (as my daughter has asked for some...) she is quite sensitive and I do not feel at her age she needs exposure to such issues. I do not feel the "blurb" lets you know what the book is really about; and seeing lots of 5star reviews may mislead. So glad I flicked through it before giving it to her. I will put it away and give it to her when she is about 10 and mature enough to understand the concepts and emotions in it.
