Games people play,
This review is from: Look At Me [DVD] (DVD)
This film is serious and funny at the same time. It observes very well the games people play with each other, based on their own desires and unfulfilled dreams. The way it's delivered is light, the story is well paced. The father is grumpy and rude to people, and it makes you laugh, even whilst noticing the underlying psychology and that is would be hurtful to the recipients. The daughter is also played like a psychological case, but it is utterly believable as a character. The script might well be copied from a psychoanalyst's case book.
