A Tapestry Of Miller's Life,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Miller's high life (Hardcover)
Ann Miller was a great tap dancer, whom I was lucky enough to see when she starred in "Sugar Babies" at the Savoy Theatre.however she is not such a great author. When she deals with her career the book is very interesting. However far too often she veres off on to her chequered private life and leaves many unanswered questions. She is also prone to rather bitchy stories about other stars and covers herself by either not using the right name or changing names. What is frustrating is that she gives working with Busby Berkeley on 2 films brief reference and working with Sinatra and Kelly in "On The Town",none at all.If she were back with us now I would ask her,"why did you go out with L B Mayer for so long if you weren't going to marry him" and "why did you always marry millionaires".Hopefully the answers would rather more illuminating than those given here.
