Total waste of time and money,
This review is from: Elizabeth of York (Hardcover)
This was a very "lazy" book
The first 6 chapters were almost totally dominated by AW's Tudor biased version of Richard 111(not what I expect from a"serious" historian) referencing Shakespeare(!!!) and Thomas Moore (who even amateur historians now know to be discredited). The rest of the book was padded out with lengthy lists of meals, wardrobes and household accounts. Any of Elisabeth's thoughts were down to conjecture of what she may or may not have thought about her husband the King's actions and events around her. I know no more about E of Y than I did before.
a total waste of time and money-I won't be reading anymore Alison Weir books as there are far better historical authors
