Bad writing at its worst,
This review is from: Captain Corelli's Mandolin (Paperback)
The only positive thing that can be said about this book is that it's done wonders for the tourist industry on Cephalonia. I just fail to understand how this pretentious twaddle gains such gushing praise (mostly from the ladies, methinks). It's badly written, inconsistent, crudely paced, wanders into flowery excesses and finally throws what could have been a good ending. I think this book was co-written by an evening class in creative writing, probably in Bexhill on Sea.

Bad writing at its worst? So does that mean this is the best writing you've come across? I'll agree with that.

This review tells me what I need to know about your others. I'm surprised you have chosen to build wooden boats, wouldn't fibreglass be more sensible?
