Where can you begin when trying to summarise this quite fantastic collection of hard rocking songs? AC/DC have always been about letting classic riffs do the talking, and in this case there are ten beauties to get your teeth into. From the sinister opening track "Hell's Bells" to the typical Acca Dacca sleaze of "Giving The Dog a Bone" and the world-wide hit "You Shook Me All night Long", every song is instantly memorable. Brian Johnson had an impossible task when he stepped into Bon Scott's shoes as AC/DC's frontman, but as this album shows, he was more than equal to the task. His gravelly voice fits perfectly into the AC/DC groove and compliments the guitars of the Young brothers perfectly, as is shown on tracks such as "Shoot To Thrill." Quite honestly, if you've never rocked to "Back In Black", you've never lived. Buy it now.

That's a hell of a claim you make in that title. Way too bold in my opinion, I could quote a hundred or more better rock albums, to mention a few.......Scenes From A Memory by Dream Theater is about 10 divisions above technically and appeal wise. If I'm allowed to venture into the Prog Rock arena (still rock right?) I could name a handful of albums by each of Pink Floyd or Genesis or Yes or Led Zep. On the metal front a number of Metallica albums blitz this into the ground, Perfect Strangers by Deep Purple, Rainbow Rising........Weather Systems and Distant Satellites by Anathema. Many virtuoso guitar albums such as Malmsteen's first four (all clichés since then of course), quite a few of Satriani's and Vai's, Eric Johnson's Venus Isle or Tony Macalpine's first two, Time Odyssey or Mind's Eye or The Maze by Vinnie Moore. Anything else, pretty much, by Dream Theater or by Symphony X. OK I'm bored now and so are you no doubt! Over and out....
